Warranty

Warranty-backed, because it's fitted properly

A composite board warranty only holds if the deck is built the way the board maker says. That's exactly how we build.

Two kinds of cover

The board maker's warranty

Composite makers back their boards against things like rotting, splitting and excessive fading, often for many years. The length and the terms depend on the range you choose; we'll show you the details for your boards with your quote.

Our workmanship guarantee

We guarantee the work we do: the frame, the fixing and the finish. The terms are written on your quote, so you know exactly what's covered before you go ahead.

What 'fitted to the guide' means on your deck

  • Joists spaced to the maker's figures for your board
  • Gaps between boards set by the maker's clips
  • End gaps that allow for the boards to expand and contract
  • Air able to move under the deck
  • A slight fall so rain runs off
  • The maker's own fixings, fascia and trims

Questions people ask

What isn't covered by a board warranty?

Usually damage from things like dropped barbecue coals, scratches from furniture, stains left to sit, or a deck that wasn't fitted to the guide. Each maker sets out their own terms.
