You'll have one point of contact from the survey to the day we hand over. Here's how a typical job runs.
We measure, check levels, drainage, access and what's under the ground, and agree where the steps go.
A written, fixed quote. When you're happy, we agree a start date and order your boards.
We clear and level the area, lay a membrane to keep weeds down and set the posts or bearers.
A treated timber frame, built level with a slight fall for rain, with joists spaced to the board maker's figures and joist tape on top.
Boards fixed with hidden clips, picture-frame border, fascia, steps and any lighting or balustrade.
We tidy up, take our waste away and walk you round the deck with simple care tips.
Composite boards have rules: how far apart the joists sit, the gaps between boards and at the ends, how much air gets underneath. Get those wrong and boards can bow, lift or stain, and the maker's warranty may not apply.
We follow each maker's installation guide on every deck, so your boards perform as they should and their warranty stands.
A minute of questions now saves a lot of back and forth later.
Not all the time. We'll need you at the start and at handover, and we'll need access to the garden each day.
We take away our own waste and offcuts. If you want an old deck or patio removed, we'll include it in your quote.
